New Advance ES400 XLP 18" Self-Contained Carpet Extractor
Our Take (from the SES Sales Team)
“After using the Advance ES400XLP, it seems like a solid machine for commercial carpet cleaning overall. It has an 18-inch cleaning path, which feels like a good balance. It is wide enough to get the job done but still easy to maneuver around furniture and in tight spaces.
The tanks are decently sized at 12 gallons for the solution and 10 gallons for recovery. That means you won't have to run back and forth to refill or dump all the time, which is particularly convenient if you're working on larger areas. The vacuum motor is surprisingly strong, and it seems capable of pulling a significant amount of water out of the carpet, allowing things to dry faster.
The unit also features several modes that you can switch between, depending on the level of cleaning required. We like that it comes with an integrated hand tool that can be used for many tasks that the unit can't reach. It features an adjustable handle that allows the user to move forward, rather than pulling the unit back, as is common with most units in this size class.
The Advance ES400XLP is built relatively compact for its capabilities, so storage isn't a headache, and it looks sturdy enough to withstand a beating in a commercial setting.
If you're looking for something that works and won't give you too many headaches, along with the 3-year Advance warranty covering parts and labor, this seems like a solid choice.”

18-inch self-contained extractor with three cleaning modes.
The Advance ES400 XLP is a self-contained carpet extractor built on the AquaClean platform for high-traffic carpeted areas. It cleans an 18-inch path with an 18-inch brush on a 1/3 hp motor and carries a 12-gallon solution tank and a 10-gallon recovery tank. A 120-psi pump feeds the spray, and a 1.5 hp, 3-stage vacuum motor with 120 inches of water lift recovers through a 20.75-inch vacuum shoe.
Three cleaning modes, LIFT, Deep Clean and Pre-Treat, are selected from the control panel. LIFT is the low-moisture interim mode at 0.17 gpm, and Nilfisk says carpets cleaned in LIFT mode can be dry in about 30 minutes; restorative cleaning runs at 0.7 gpm. The XLP has a flip handle, an integrated hand tool, a front-mounted drain hose and a removable tank with a stowable handle. It weighs 118 lb and has a 50-foot cord.
