“The PS480 is a manual push sweeper, so there is no motor, battery or power cord to maintain. That makes it a practical choice for sidewalks, entrances, parking areas, warehouses and small shops where you want quick debris pickup without charging or fueling anything.
As you push, a two-wheel transmission spins the 18.9-inch main broom, and a belt-driven right side broom pulls debris in from edges for a 27.6-inch (700 mm) working width. It picks up paper, leaves, bottle caps, cigarette butts and even small screws and nails into a 10-gallon hopper with a handle for emptying. Pull it backward and the main broom stops turning.
Broom height adjusts with a knob on the handle, and a left side broom kit is available if you need to sweep along edges on both sides. Viper rates it at up to 30,139 square feet per hour, but your walking speed sets the pace. For large lots swept daily over long distances, a powered sweeper will be easier on the operator.”
