New Task-Pro TP5160T 20" Disc Traction Drive Walk-Behind Scrubber
Our Take (from the SES Sales Team)
“The TP5160T is a 20-inch walk-behind scrubber with traction drive, sold under Nilfisk's Task-Pro name, and Task-Pro lists the Viper AS5160T as its equivalent. It fits buildings that scrub mid-size areas every day, like school hallways, offices, retail floors and break rooms, where a micro-scrubber's small tanks mean too many trips to the sink.
The 16-gallon solution and recovery tanks are the main reason to step up to this size. A 31-inch cast aluminum squeegee and 47.2 inches of water lift handle pickup, and the traction motor with its speed-reducing gear drive moves the machine at up to 2.8 mph, so the operator steers instead of pushing. That matters on long runs and on gentle slopes up to the rated 2% grade.
The limit is run time: Nilfisk rates it at about 2.5 hours per charge. If you need to scrub through a full shift or cover large open floors, a wider traction scrubber with bigger batteries will get more done per charge. For tight restrooms and small rooms, a 17-inch micro-scrubber is easier to maneuver.”
“We had contacted several companies for ideas on scrubber for our hall. … When we ordered the scrubber it arrived within a week.” — Ken M., Google review
20-inch traction-drive scrubbing with 16-gallon tanks.
The Task-Pro TP5160T is a battery-powered walk-behind floor scrubber with a 20-inch (510 mm) disc deck and traction drive. A single brush or pad driver turns at 150 rpm with 50 lb of pad pressure, and the roto-molded solution and recovery tanks each hold 16 gallons (61 L). Task-Pro's price list names the Viper AS5160T as its equivalent model.
A 150 W traction motor with a speed-reducing gear drive moves the machine at up to 2.8 mph, and maximum working efficiency is rated at 23,680 sq ft per hour. A 350 W vacuum motor with 47.2 inches of water lift feeds a 31-inch cast aluminum squeegee. The 24 V system uses two 12 V batteries and a 10 A onboard charger, with up to 2.5 hours of run time per charge.
