“The VP400 HEPA is Nilfisk's compact dry canister vacuum for cleaning crews in offices, schools, hotels, retail and healthcare, where a canister gets under desks and around chairs more easily than an upright. It weighs 12.1 pounds, holds 2.6 gallons in the dust bag and filters through a HEPA 14 main filter.
What sets the VP400 apart from the VP300 is the cord: 49.2 feet on an automatic rewind, versus 32.8 feet with upgraded cord storage on the VP300. The power switch is foot-reachable, colored touch points show where to grab and press, and the bag and filters come out without tools. Nilfisk rates it at 56 dB(A), quiet enough to clean during the day without disturbing people.
The trade-off is coverage on big floors. With 68 cfm at the end of the tube it is a detail and small-room machine, and you pull the canister along behind you. For large open carpeted areas, an upright or wide-area vacuum covers ground faster, and if you do not need cord rewind, the VP300 is the simpler option.”
