“The Maxxi II 35 is a compact 9-gallon wet/dry vacuum for the everyday mix of spills, dust and debris in schools, healthcare buildings, grocery and retail stores, arenas and auto dealers. At 25 pounds it is light enough to carry to the job, and it handles wet and dry pick-up with the same filter setup.

The filter system is the reason to pick it. A washable, waterproof cartridge filter keeps water away from the motor, a blue mesh wet filter breaks down foam, and a red panel holds the float that prevents overflow. The filter lifts out for a rinse, and the hinged motor head lifts off for service. A 1,100 W motor is rated at 101 cfm and 72 inches of water lift.

The trade-off is size. Nine gallons and a 6-foot hose suit spot jobs and smaller rooms, not flooded floors or long reaches. For big water pick-up, a larger tank vac with a front squeegee, such as the Clarke Summit Pro 18SQ, is the better fit.”

The Clarke Maxxi II 35 is a 9-gallon (35 L) wet/dry vacuum. Its filter system has three parts: a washable, waterproof dry cartridge filter that keeps water away from the motor, a red panel that holds the float and prevents overflow, and a blue mesh wet filter that dissipates foam. The filter lifts out for rinsing after the job.

A 1,100 W motor runs on 120 V and is rated at 101 cfm of airflow and 72 inches of water lift at the nozzle, with a sound pressure level of 81 dBA. The hinged motor head lifts off for service. It has a 6-foot hose, a 50-foot power cord, a tube holder and accessory storage, and weighs 25 lb (11.5 kg).
