“The VL500 35 is the smallest of Advance's three VL500 wet/dry vacuums, with a 9-gallon tank and a 25-pound weight that is easy to carry between floors or load into a van. It fits offices, classrooms and maintenance closets where you need one vacuum that can pick up dust one day and a spill the next.
The filter system is the reason to choose it. A waterproof, washable dry cartridge filter and a mesh wet filter work together, so you can switch between wet and dry pickup without changing filters, and a float stops water before it reaches the motor. It moves 101 CFM with 72 inches of water lift, has a 50-foot cord, and comes with a 6-foot hose, extension wand, floor nozzle with rubber strip, floor brush and crevice tool, with onboard tube and accessory storage.
Know its limits. The 35 has no drain hose, no squeegee option and no ERGO tip n' pour, and at 81 dB(A) it is not quiet. If you are picking up stripper slurry or a lot of water, the VL500 75, with its 19-gallon tank, ERGO tip n' pour and front-mount squeegee option, is the better fit.”

The Advance VL500 35 is the 9-gallon model in the VL500 wet/dry vacuum range, sized for offices, classrooms and other smaller facilities. It runs on 120 V with a 1,100 W Pmax rating and 220 W of suction power at the end of the tube, moving 101 CFM with 72 inches of water lift. Dry capacity is 4 gallons.
Its filter system handles wet and dry pickup without a filter change. A waterproof, washable dry cartridge filter (321 sq in) keeps water away from the motor, a red panel holds the float that prevents overflow, and a blue mesh wet filter (163 sq in) dissipates foam. The unit weighs 25 lb, has a 50-foot cord and a 6-foot hose, and stores its tube and tools onboard.
