“The V-WD-24 is the workhorse wet/dry vac for the jobs a mop can't handle: a backed-up drain, a leak in the stockroom, or rinse water after stripping a floor. A 24-gallon tank and 100 inches of water lift mean fewer trips to the drain, and it still picks up dry debris with the dust floor tool and paper bag that come in the standard kit.

There are two ways to buy it here. The standard kit is the right fit for spot cleanups, restrooms and general facility use. Add the front-mount squeegee package if you regularly pull standing water off big open floors like loading docks, gyms or warehouse aisles, since you can push it like a floor squeegee and vacuum at the same time. If your crew would rather pump water to a floor drain than lift and tip a full tank, step up to the V-WD-24P.”

Tennant V-WD-24: a 24-gallon commercial wet/dry vacuum

The Tennant V-WD-24 is a 120 V corded wet/dry vacuum with a 24 gal (90 L) polyethylene tank, a 1,200 W (max) motor with 100 in of water lift, and a 40 ft (12 m) power cord. Tennant builds it for large cleaning jobs and flooded conditions, and for contract cleaners and in-house crews that need to pick up water, spills and dry debris from the same machine. It rolls on two rear wheels and two front swivel casters and has a lightweight handle, and it is sold here as a standard kit or with Tennant's front-mount squeegee kit for pulling water off open floors. V-WD-24 or V-WD-24P? Both share the 1,200 W (max) motor, 100 in water lift, 146 CFM airflow, 40 ft cord and 23 x 18 x 36 in footprint. The V-WD-24 has the larger 24 gal (90 L) gross tank, weighs 41.9 lb (19 kg) and ships with both dry and wet tools. The V-WD-24P adds the 48 gpm submersible pump, has a 22.7 gal (86 L) gross tank, weighs 48.7 lb (22.1 kg), and its standard kit is set up for wet pickup.
