New Tennant T290 Pad Assist Walk-Behind Scrubber
Our Take (from the SES Sales Team)
"The Tennant T290 is a practical walk-behind floor scrubber designed for routine cleaning in commercial and industrial spaces. In my experience, its main strengths are straightforward operation, consistent scrubbing, and effective water pickup. The controls are easy to understand, so a new operator can become comfortable with the machine quickly. It maneuvers well in aisles and around obstacles, and the scrub deck delivers an even cleaning path when the pad or brush is properly installed. The squeegee also leaves the floor relatively dry when it is clean and correctly adjusted.
The T290 is best suited to facilities that need dependable daily cleaning without the size or complexity of a ride-on machine. It works especially well in hallways, retail areas, workshops, storage spaces, and other medium-sized hard-floor environments.
Overall, I view the Tennant T290 as a capable and user-friendly floor scrubber. It is not maintenance-free, but with proper setup and cleaning after each use, it can provide reliable results and improve productivity compared with traditional mopping."
A straightforward 20-inch pad-assist scrubber for small, congested spaces
The Tennant T290 is a battery-powered, pad-assist walk-behind floor scrubber with a 20 in (500 mm) disk deck, a 10.5 gal (40 L) solution tank and a 13 gal (50 L) recovery tank. Tennant designed it as a no-frills commercial scrubber that lowers the cost to clean, and it is ideal for small and congested spaces such as retail stores and schools. The deck turns at up to 155 rpm with up to 40 lb (18 kg) of down pressure, and the rotating pad helps pull the machine forward while the operator steers, so it is compact and easy to maneuver.
