“The Zephyr is for cleaning where a cord is the problem: stairwells, theaters and auditoriums, hotel corridors, and daytime cleaning in occupied buildings where a cord across a walkway is a hazard. At 11.4 pounds with the battery, it is lighter than Tornado's corded Pac-Vac 10 at 14 pounds, and the hose can be set on either side for right- or left-handed operators.
The battery system is the other draw. It uses Tornado's 36-volt, 7.5 Ah lithium-ion pack, which also runs the Strike cordless upright and the Tempest cordless sweeper, so a site with more than one of those machines can share batteries. Tornado rates run time at 41 minutes in Power mode and 73 minutes in ECO mode, with a 68-minute recharge.
Plan the kit before ordering. The battery and charger are sold separately, and at about 41 minutes on Power, longer routes call for a second battery. The 3-quart dust capacity is also much smaller than the Pac-Vac 10's 10-quart bag, so it needs emptying more often. For all-day work with an outlet nearby, the Pac-Vac 10 Aircomfort is the alternative.”

The Tornado Zephyr (TV570-Q03-U) is a cordless commercial backpack vacuum with a shell made of expanded polypropylene (EPP). It weighs 7.3 lb without the battery and 11.4 lb with it. A 350-watt brushless DC motor produces 75 CFM of airflow and 75.6 inches of water lift, with Power and ECO modes rated at 65 and 61 dB(A), and the dust container holds 3 quarts.
The Zephyr runs on Tornado's interchangeable 36 V, 7.5 Ah lithium-ion battery, rated for 41 minutes in Power mode and 73 minutes in ECO mode with a 68-minute charge, and the same battery fits the Strike cordless upright and Tempest cordless sweeper. Battery and charger are sold separately. Filtration is two-stage, with a fleece bag and an H14 HEPA exhaust filter, and the Deuter harness has four adjustment points.
