“The Tornado CK ULW 13/1 is one of those vacuums that doesn't try to reinvent the wheel, it just focuses on doing the basics really well. Manufactured by Tacony Corporation, the same company that produces a similar version for Tennant, this ultra-lightweight upright has earned a spot in our own office cleaning routine. We use it regularly on our low-pile carpeted areas and appreciate how easy it is to maneuver throughout the day. At under 10 pounds, it's simple to carry between rooms, and the dual-speed operation gives users flexibility when moving between different cleaning tasks.
Performance is solid for an upright in this class. Suction is strong, maintenance is straightforward, and the lightweight design reduces operator fatigue compared to heavier commercial uprights. The only real drawbacks we've found are the power cord, which can feel a little awkward to manage at times, and the cord length itself. We'd prefer a few extra feet to reduce outlet changes in larger areas. Still, those are relatively minor complaints on an otherwise dependable commercial vacuum. For facilities looking for a lightweight, easy-to-use upright from a proven manufacturer, the CK ULW 13/1 is a strong option.”

The Tornado CK ULW 13/1 (TV280-W12-U) is an ultra-lightweight commercial upright vacuum with a 13-inch cleaning path. It weighs under 10 lb and has a carry handle for moving between rooms and up stairs. A 5.5-amp motor with a 3.5-inch fan produces 115 CFM of airflow, and Tornado rates productivity at about 2,400 sq ft per hour.
A two-speed switch on the handle offers a low setting for bare floors and quieter operation and a high setting for carpet, and a rubber squeegee on the base helps on hard floors. Debris collects in a 7.4-quart top-fill HEPA media bag as part of a 2-stage filtration system. An LED headlight lights dark spaces, and power comes through a 12-inch pigtail and a 30-foot 18/3 SJT cord.
