“The TRADITION QuietClean SC889B is a two-speed, 12-inch bagged upright for buildings that get vacuumed while people are working: offices, libraries, clinics, schools and hotel hallways. On its QuietClean setting Sanitaire rates it at 69 dBA, it is LEED Qualified for daytime cleaning, and its cleaning performance carries the CRI Seal of Approval at the Gold level.
The switch gives you QuietClean for occupied areas and Full Power when the building empties out. Debris goes into a 6.1-quart Style ST synthetic bag inside a dual-zipper cloth bag, so bag changes stay quick. The chrome brush roll takes replaceable bristle strips, the brush roll and belt change without tools, and a 50-foot quick-change pigtail cord means fewer trips to the outlet.
The trade-offs are tools and filtration. There are no on-board tools, and filtration relies on the bag rather than a HEPA filter. If you need above-floor reach or HEPA filtration in a quiet machine, look at the FORCE QuietClean line or the MULTI-SURFACE QuietClean SC9180D.”
