“The Mirage 2000 is a 20-inch cord-electric burnisher for schools, offices, retail and healthcare floors where the goal is a high gloss on a regular burnishing schedule. A 1.5 HP belt-driven motor spins the pad driver at 2,000 rpm, and the 96-pound machine keeps steady weight on the pad. The flexible pad driver with a threaded centering device follows the floor for an even shine.
The build is simple and solid: steel and stainless steel construction, dual metal switch levers for left- or right-hand use, a foot-operated handle adjustment, anti-fatigue grips and a non-marking PVC bumper that protects walls and furniture. The 75-foot cord has a steel strain relief spring.
The trade-offs come with any corded burnisher. It needs a standard 15-amp, 120-volt circuit, the operator manages a long cord, and Minuteman limits extension cords to 25 feet of 12-gauge. If your finish or pads call for a lower speed, the otherwise identical Mirage 1500 runs at 1,500 rpm.”
