“The X829 C82906-01 is a 6-gallon critical filter vacuum that Minuteman designed specifically for cleaning up fibrous asbestos and asbestos dust. It fits abatement work, brake service areas, and maintenance crews who need to collect hazardous dust by vacuuming instead of sweeping. The painted tank rolls on two wheels and two casters, so it moves easily around a job.
Filtration is what sets it apart. Air passes through a cloth filter bag and a prefilter sleeve before reaching the ULPA filter, which Minuteman rates at 99.999% efficiency at 0.12 microns. The 115-volt motor produces 95 CFM and 85 inches of water lift, and it handles wet pickup too, with a 4.5-gallon wet capacity. The 50-foot cord gives good reach.
Plan for the details. Hose, wand and tools are separate items, and Minuteman says to use only its own filters and filter bags. Even in light work such as brake drum cleaning, Minuteman suggests changing filters daily, so keep spares on hand. If you need more tank capacity, look at the 15-gallon X839 C83905-16, keeping in mind it uses HEPA rather than ULPA filtration.”
