“The X Ride 28 is for facilities with a lot of carpet and not a lot of time: hotels, convention centers, casinos, airports, offices and schools. A walk-behind or box extractor would take a crew all night. The operator rides, the cylindrical brushes work both sides of the fiber, and the vacuum picks up in the same pass, at up to about 9,000 square feet an hour. The 27-gallon tank keeps it on the carpet longer between fills, and the on-board wand handles stairs, corners and spots the machine cannot reach.
Use the 50 psi Interim mode for routine appearance cleaning and the 100 psi Restorative mode for deep cleaning. The choice here is the standard machine or the CFS version. Pick CFS if you want to cut back on carpet chemicals, since it adds an ozone generator that Minuteman says sanitizes, deodorizes and purifies.”
A 28-inch ride-on carpet extractor for large carpeted areas
The Minuteman X Ride 28 is a battery-powered rider carpet extractor that scrubs and vacuums in one quick pass while the operator rides. Its cylindrical brushes clean both sides of the carpet fiber across a 28 in path, and Minuteman rates it at up to 9,060 square feet an hour. A 27-gallon solution tank and 24.5-gallon recovery tank mean less time filling and emptying, and an on-board off-aisle wand with 25 ft of hose reaches where the machine cannot go. Minuteman lists airports, convention centers, casinos, hotels and resorts, office buildings, healthcare, retail, government facilities, schools and building service contractors as its markets.

Reading the model numbers: Minuteman documents the CFS machine separately (parts catalog 988732Z versus 988732 for the standard X Ride 28). Z marks the CFS ozone version and QP is the Quick Pack with the 36 V AGM battery pack and onboard charger. Both share the same chassis, tanks and spray system.
