“The IVM 35/17-2 HEPA is a mobile, single-phase industrial vacuum for plants, warehouses and shops that need to pull fine, dry dust off floors, machines, beams and overhead structures and still plug into an ordinary 120 V outlet. Kärcher built it for intermittent housekeeping duty and lists the line as NFPA 652 compliant, which matters where combustible dust is part of the safety plan.
What stands out is the filtration and the build. A large pocket main filter with mechanical cleaning catches the bulk of the dust, and a HEPA exhaust filter handles the fines on the way out. The painted steel body rides on locking casters, and the 9.2-gallon collection container has handles for emptying. With 271 cfm and 88 inches of waterlift from a 2.3 hp motor, it pulls hard for a 15-amp machine.
The trade-offs are capacity and duty cycle. It is a dry-only, intermittent-duty vacuum with a smaller container than Kärcher's larger single-phase IVM models, so for all-day collection or liquids, look at a continuous-duty or wet-rated model.”
