A mechanical and suction street sweeper for municipal streets and heavy industrial sites.
The Kärcher MCM 600 (1.999-052.0) combines mechanical pickup with suction and filtering. Two side brushes and a central broom feed a vertical belt conveyor into a 7.8 cu yd stainless steel hopper, while two hydraulic suction turbines pull in dust and light debris and a polyester pocket filter captures fine particles down to PM1. Sweeping width is 102 in with two brushes, or 142 in with the optional third front brush.
A 156 hp Cummins four-cylinder diesel meeting EPA Tier 4 Final drives an electronically controlled hydrostatic system with Eco and Power modes, a top driving speed of 25 mph and a working speed up to 12.4 mph. Synchronized four-wheel steering keeps the broom on line through turns, and Kärcher's CDS system adjusts central broom pressure automatically. The hopper dumps at 53 in, or 94 in with the high-dump option.
