“The BD 38/12 C Bp is a small battery disc scrubber built around a steerable design. Kärcher describes it as a 15 in disc version of its BR 35/12, and the squeegee trails behind the brush so it keeps picking up through turns and right up to walls. That makes it a fit for restrooms, small shops, break rooms and other tight, furnished areas where a larger walk-behind is awkward.
What stands out is the lithium-ion battery with an on-board charger: 60 minutes of run time in standard mode, 120 minutes in Eco!, and a 2 to 3 hour recharge, so it can be topped off between jobs. At 79 lb with the battery it is light enough to roll over steps and load into a vehicle, and Eco! mode drops the sound level from 65 to 62 dB(A) for daytime cleaning.
The trade-off is capacity. With 3.2 gal tanks and a 15 in path it is a small-area machine. If your floors are mostly textured tile or grout, the cylindrical BR 35/12 C Bp may suit better, and for larger rooms look at the BR 45/22 C Bp.”

The brush runs at 180 rpm, or 150 rpm in Eco! mode, with 35 to 46 lb of contact pressure. Kärcher rates productivity at 16,360 sq ft per hour theoretical and 12,270 sq ft per hour practical.
Power comes from a 25.2 V lithium-ion battery with an on-board charger. Kärcher lists 60 minutes of run time in standard mode and 120 minutes in Eco! mode, with a 2 to 3 hour charge. The 280 W vacuum motor moves 42 cfm at 32 in of water lift. The machine weighs 79 lb with the battery and runs at 65 dB(A), or 62 dB(A) in Eco! mode.
