“The HD 4.0/40 PB Cage is a roll cage, belt-drive gas pressure washer for contractors and equipment or fleet crews who carry their washer on a truck or trailer and run it hard. It delivers 4,000 psi at 4.0 gpm from a 479 cc Vanguard engine, enough for heavy grime on equipment, concrete and building exteriors.
What stands out is the protection. A 1-1/4-inch steel roll cage with an epoxy powder coat surrounds the engine and pump, a heavy-duty lifting beam helps with loading, and the flat-free tires won't go down on nails or sharp debris. The tri-plunger, oil-bath Kärcher pump has a forged brass head and ceramic pistons, the belts run behind an enclosed OSHA-compliant guard, and a thermal valve and inlet strainer protect the pump.
The trade-off is weight and size. Kärcher lists it at about 470 pounds, so it is built to stay on a truck, trailer or wash bay rather than be moved around by hand. For lighter, more mobile work, a cart unit like the HD 3.0/30 PB is easier to handle.”

The Kärcher HD 4.0/40 PB Cage is a gasoline-powered, belt-drive cold water pressure washer rated at 4,000 psi and 4.0 gpm. A 479 cc Vanguard engine drives an industrial tri-plunger, oil-bath Kärcher KT pump with a forged brass head and ceramic pistons through notched V-belts and cast-iron pulleys. A thermal pump saver valve vents recirculating water, and an inlet strainer keeps debris out of the pump.
The engine and pump sit inside a 1-1/4 in steel roll cage with an epoxy powder-coat finish, with a heavy-duty lifting beam for loading and flat-free tires. The belts are covered by a totally enclosed, OSHA-compliant polyethylene belt guard with an easy belt tension adjuster. It comes with a 50 ft wire-braid high-pressure hose with hose guard, an insulated trigger gun and five quick-connect spray nozzles.
