“The KIRA B 50 is Kärcher's autonomous scrubber drier for medium to large hard floors, the kind of open area where someone would otherwise walk or ride a scrubber over the same path every night. Once it is set up, the robot scrubs on its own, so the cleaning team can spend that time on restrooms, detail work and other jobs a machine can't do.
What stands out is that it cleans like a conventional 22-inch cylindrical scrubber. The roller brush pre-sweeps and scrubs in one pass at 1,350 rpm, a side brush works the edges, and 14.5-gallon tanks with 24 V, 160 Ah lithium-ion batteries give about 3.5 hours of runtime. Laser scanners and 3D sensors handle navigation and obstacle avoidance, and it can also be driven manually.
The trade-off is setup and infrastructure. Without the optional docking station, someone still fills, drains and charges it between runs, and Kärcher requires operators to be trained. For small or cluttered rooms, a walk-behind scrubber is usually quicker to put to work.”

The Kärcher KIRA B 50 is a battery-powered scrubber drier robot for autonomous cleaning of medium to large hard-floor areas. A 22 in (550 mm) roller brush pre-sweeps and scrubs in one step, with coarse debris collected in a 0.5 gal (2 L) hopper, and an integrated side brush cleans right up to edges. The squeegee is 29.5 in (750 mm) wide, and Kärcher rates theoretical autonomous coverage at up to 25,450 sq ft per hour.
Setup and operation run through a large touch display with step-by-step guidance, and user profiles can limit who changes settings. Sensors give 360° detection of the surroundings to avoid collisions and obstacles, and colored lights show what the robot is doing. Cleaning reports and status notifications are available through the KIRA web portal and on mobile devices. An optional docking station refills fresh water, drains and rinses the recovery tank and charges the battery.
