“The Pro HD 400 ED is a compact, plug-in pressure washer for maintenance crews and cleaning contractors who need to clean on site without bringing out a gas machine. It runs on a standard 120-volt outlet, so it works where engine exhaust and noise would be a problem, like loading docks, garages and building entrances.
At 1,300 psi and 1.7 gpm, it is sized for routine jobs such as dumpster pads, entryways, carts and equipment. The 3-piston axial pump has a brass cylinder head and automatic pressure relief, and the unit can be stored, moved and run upright or lying flat, which helps when it rides in a van between sites. The carrying handle and extendable push bar make loading easier.
The trade-off is output. At 1,300 psi it is not a substitute for a hot water or high-pressure gas unit on grease, oil or heavy fleet work. If you want a little more flow in the same compact format, compare it with the HD 1.8/13 C Ed.”

The Kärcher Pro HD 400 ED (1.520-990.0) is a compact electric cold water pressure washer rated at 1,300 psi and 1.7 gpm. It runs on a standard 120 V, single-phase, 60 Hz supply and can be stored, transported and operated either upright or lying flat. Kärcher states the unit is certified to UL and CSA safety standards.
A 3-piston axial pump with a brass cylinder head is protected by an automatic pressure relief system, and a removable inlet filter keeps debris out of the pump. An additional carrying handle, an extendable push bar and built-in storage for the hose, nozzles and spray wand make it easy to move between job sites. The EASY!Force trigger gun and EASY!Lock connections come standard.
