“The Sludge Slinger is a 3 in trash pump for contractors, facility managers and property owners who have to move dirty water: flooded basements and lots, construction excavations, ponds, pools and irrigation ditches. Unlike a clear-water pump, it passes solids up to 1 in across, so leaves, sticks and small rocks go through instead of stopping the job.
Kärcher rates it at up to 343 gpm with a 26 ft suction lift and 88 ft of maximum head, driven directly by a Honda gas engine rated at 8.4 hp. A painted steel frame surrounds the engine and pump, rubber pads isolate vibration, and the ports come with hose-barb fittings and a solids strainer for the suction side.
The trade-off is that the hoses are separate. Kärcher offers 3 in reinforced suction and discharge hose kits as options, so add them to the order if the job site does not already have hose. It is also a gas engine, so it is for outdoor use only, and it is not meant for flammable liquids, salt water or food plants.”

The Kärcher Sludge Slinger (1.042-216.0) is a gas-powered trash pump with 3 in NPSM suction and discharge ports. A Honda GX270 engine rated at 8.4 hp drives the pump directly at 3,600 rpm, delivering up to 343 gpm with a 26 ft suction lift and 88 ft of maximum head. It moves water mixed with leaves, sticks and small rocks up to 1 in in diameter without grinding them up.
Kärcher lists clearing flooded areas, dewatering construction sites, draining pools and agricultural irrigation among its uses. The pump sits in a painted steel frame on vibration-isolating rubber pads and comes with inlet and outlet fittings and a solids strainer with hose barb. The engine carries 1.4 gal of fuel, the pump is primed with water before starting, and Kärcher specifies outdoor use only.
