“The Sensor XP 15 is the middle size in Kärcher's Sensor XP line: a 15-inch, single-motor upright with automatic brush-height adjustment. It fits offices, schools, hotel corridors and meeting rooms where a 12-inch head feels slow but an 18-inch head is awkward around furniture. Kärcher rates it at 3,451 square feet per hour, and it weighs 18 pounds.
What stands out is how little the operator has to manage. The brush height adjusts on its own and sits flush on hard floors, and indicator lights flag a full bag, a blockage, a brush that needs adjusting or a jam, with an automatic shutdown if they are ignored. The 1,200-watt motor runs at 69 dBA, and the detail tools ride on the back.
The trade-off is filtration. The standard filter is high efficiency and HEPA is an optional kit, so sites that require HEPA from day one should look at a HEPA-standard upright such as the Sensor S2 14 HEPA. For wide open carpet, the 18-inch XP 18 covers more floor per pass.”
