“This 240-volt Sensor S2 12 HEPA is for sites wired for 230 to 240 volts that want a 12-inch HEPA upright for hotel rooms, patient rooms, classrooms and senior living. It is a single-motor machine with a 1,000-watt motor, weighs 20 pounds and is rated at 2,510 square feet per hour.
What stands out is the filtration and the low profile. Air passes through a three-layer bag and a 0.3-micron MicroFilter before the HEPA final-stage filter, which Kärcher says extends HEPA filter life to 200 to 300 hours. The handle lays flat to a 6-inch height to reach under beds and furniture, the bag-full and check-brush indicators are mechanical, and the cord changes without tools.
The trade-off is the power supply. This unit needs a 230 to 240-volt outlet, so for standard 120-volt outlets the 120 V Sensor S2 12 HEPA is the version to choose. Brush height is also set by hand on a four-position pile knob rather than adjusting itself.”

The Kärcher Sensor S2 12 HEPA (1.012-593.0) is the 240 V/60 Hz version of Kärcher's 12-inch single-motor HEPA upright. It runs on 230-240 V, 50-60 Hz single-phase power and is double insulated. The 1,000 W motor produces 105 cfm of airflow and 90 in (225 mbar) of water lift, and Kärcher rates practical productivity at 2,510 sq ft per hour.
Debris collects in a 1.4-gallon three-layer bag, followed by a 0.3-micron MicroFilter and a HEPA final-stage filter. Brush height is set with a four-position pile knob, and the handle lays flat to a 6-inch height. Bag-full and check-brush indicators are mechanical, the electronics sit in the base, and the 40-ft cord changes without tools. Crevice and upholstery tools are stored on board.
