“The CVU 36/1 HEPA is a 14.2-inch, single-motor commercial upright for daily carpet care in hotels, schools, healthcare and senior living, where HEPA exhaust filtration matters. One 1,000-watt motor drives both the suction and the 2,700 rpm brush, and at 18.3 pounds it is easy to carry from floor to floor.
What stands out is the filtration and how simple it is to keep running. Air passes through a three-layer paper bag and a 0.3-micron MicroFilter before the HEPA exhaust filter, which Kärcher says stretches HEPA filter life to 200 to 300 hours. The electronics sit in the base rather than the swivel, the power cord changes without tools, and the bag-full and check-brush indicators are mechanical.
The trade-off is brush height. You set it by hand with a four-position pile knob, so operators need to change it when they move from low-pile to thicker carpet. If you want the head to adjust itself, look at the Sensor XP line instead.”

The Kärcher CVU 36/1 HEPA (1.012-591.0) is a 14.2-inch single-motor commercial upright vacuum for carpets and other floors. A 1,000 W motor on 120 V produces 106 cfm of airflow and 225 mbar (about 90 in) of suction, and drives a 2,700 rpm brush through a non-slip belt. Debris collects in a 1.4-gallon three-layer paper bag.
Filtration continues through a 0.3-micron MicroFilter and a HEPA final-stage exhaust filter. Brush height is set with a four-position pile knob, by foot or with the attachment tube. Bag-full and check-brush indicators are mechanical, and the machine switches off if the brush jams. The hose, attachment tube, crevice tool and upholstery tool are stored on board, and the 40-ft cord changes without tools.
