“The BRC 46/76 W is a self-propelled walk-behind extractor for crews that restore large carpeted areas: hotel ballrooms and corridors, school buildings, open office floors. With 20 gallons of solution, 20 of recovery and a rated 5,000 sq ft per hour, it is built for long passes with fewer stops to dump and refill.
The drive is what sets it apart from a pull-back compact. A 1/4 hp drive motor moves the machine forward at a speed set on a knob, up to 1.15 mph, and solution only sprays while it is moving, so the operator steers instead of hauling a full tank. Behind that is a 1 hp three-stage vacuum with 117 in of water lift, a 100 psi pump and Kärcher's Penetrator vacuum shoe for recovery and dry times. A large fill opening, clear dome and outside-mounted solution filter keep daily checks quick.
The trade-off is size. At 217 lb and 51 in long it needs an elevator or ramp between floors and room to turn, and it works from a 75 ft cord. For smaller rooms the compact Admiral XL is easier to move around.”

The Kärcher BRC 46/76 W (1.008-605.0) is a corded, self-propelled walk-behind carpet extractor with an 18 in brush, a 22 in vacuum shoe and 20 gal solution and recovery tanks. A 1 hp three-stage vacuum motor delivers 117 in of water lift, and a 100 psi pump supplies two quick-change jets at 1.0 gpm. Kärcher rates practical productivity at 5,000 sq ft per hour at 69 dB(A).
A 1/4 hp DC drive motor moves the machine forward at a speed set with a control knob, up to 1.15 mph, and the 18 in cylindrical brush turns at 1,000 rpm. All-in-one controls sit on an ergonomic handle, the clear dome and large solution opening make filling and checks easier, and the solution filter is mounted outside. It runs on a 75 ft, 12-gauge cord, and optional tools connect for spot, stair and upholstery work.
