“The Polaris 701PS is the compact model in EDIC's Polaris line of self-contained carpet extractors. It suits facility teams that maintain offices, classrooms, meeting rooms and hallways and want one operator to spray, scrub and recover in a single pass, in a 78 lb machine, well under the 114 lb of the 19-inch 801PS.
It pairs a 7-gallon solution tank and 120 psi pump with a 17-inch chevron brush turning at 2,100 RPM and a 2 HP vacuum motor rated at 112 CFM and 136 inches of water lift. The self-adjusting, self-leveling brush follows uneven floors, and the four-wheel layout keeps it balanced when full. The cord detaches so you can roll it to a drain, and the recovery buckets lift off to empty without a hose.
The trade-off is a single vacuum motor and a narrower head. For larger open areas, the 801PS and 1201PS step up to a 19-inch head and dual vacuum motors rated at 200 CFM, and the Supernova cleans in both directions.”

The EDIC Polaris 701PS is a walk-behind self-contained carpet extractor with a 7-gallon solution tank, a 120 psi pump and a single 2 HP vacuum motor rated at 112 CFM and 136 inches of water lift. Its 17-inch chevron brush is driven by a 1/6 HP, 4,200 RPM motor and turns at 2,100 RPM on sealed stainless steel ball bearings.
The self-adjusting, self-leveling brush handles different carpet lengths and uneven floors, and a side extension reaches baseboards. The 50 ft cord detaches so the machine can be rolled to a drain, and lift-off recovery buckets empty without a drain hose. The vacuum is upright-mounted with an intercooler, optional tools attach at the rear, and the machine weighs 78 lb.
