“The Galaxy 5 539BX-EH is EDIC's 5-gallon extractor set up for auto detailing: carpets, mats and seats in vehicles, plus other small jobs where a compact unit makes more sense than a full-size machine. It comes with its heater, a 15 ft hose assembly and a stainless steel detailing tool, so it's ready for hot-water work out of the box.
The standout is single-cord heat. The 1000-watt external heater runs on the same power cord as the extractor and gives on-demand heat up to 170 degrees, so one outlet runs both. The heater uses a stainless steel chamber and element, sits outside the motor compartment, and lifts off in seconds for service. A 120 psi pump and a single 3-stage vacuum with 117 inches of water lift handle detailing-tool work, and the handle folds down for transport.
The trade-offs are a smaller heater than EDIC's 2000-watt Heat N'Run and a 3-gallon recovery tank, which means more dumps on bigger jobs. For larger carpet work, look at the Galaxy 5 500BX-HRH kits or the 12-gallon Galaxy 2000 line.”
