“This kit is EDIC's ready-to-work package around the compact Galaxy 5. It pairs the 5-gallon, 120 psi heat-ready extractor with a 2000-watt Heat N'Run external heater, a Triton carpet wand and a 25 ft vacuum hose and solution line, so a small carpet cleaning business, property manager or detailer can start hot-water extraction with everything matched.
The Triton is the reason to pick this kit over the Glidemaster version. It weighs 6.5 lb, rides on a low-friction UHMW glide, and aims its two stainless steel jets so the spray patterns don't overlap. The heater hangs on the back of the extractor, keeps heat out of the motor compartment, and is ready in about 1.5 to 3 minutes.
Plan for power before the first job: EDIC says the heater and the extractor must plug into separate outlets on separate circuits. The trade-off with any 5-gallon unit is more refills and dumps on big rooms; for larger carpeted areas, look at EDIC's 12-gallon Galaxy 2000 kits.”

The EDIC 500BX-HRH-TK kit combines the Galaxy 5 500BX-HR heat-ready portable extractor with a 2000-watt Heat N'Run external heater, a Triton carpet wand with dual jets, and a 25 ft vacuum hose and high-pressure solution line. The extractor has a 5-gallon solution tank, a 4-gallon recovery tank, a 120 psi pump and a single 3-stage vacuum motor with 136 inches of water lift.
The Heat N'Run heater mounts on the back of the extractor, draws 16.6 amps and runs on its own 50 ft power cord. The Triton wand weighs 6.5 lb and has an aircraft aluminum wand tube, UHMW glide, brass spray tube, stainless steel jets and a 1200 psi valve. The extractor weighs 57 lb, has a fold-down handle and runs on a 25 ft detachable cord.
