“The Galaxy 5 500BX-HR is EDIC's compact 5-gallon box extractor. EDIC builds it for auto detailers, small offices, rental properties and cleaners who want a portable unit one person can handle: it weighs 57 lb, the handle folds down, and the cord and accessories store on the machine.
Its 120 psi pump and single 3-stage vacuum motor with 136 inches of water lift suit upholstery, stairs, vehicle interiors and spot work. The heat-ready design is the other reason to look at it. You can run it cold today and later add EDIC's 2000-watt Heat N'Run external heater, which hangs on the back, keeps heat away from the internal components and lifts off if it ever needs service. A baffle system keeps the noise down for work in occupied buildings.
This listing is the machine only, so plan on a hose assembly and a wand. If you add the heater, EDIC says it must plug into a separate outlet on a separate circuit. For whole-room carpet work, the 12-gallon Galaxy 2000 line holds more.”

The Galaxy 5 is heat-ready: EDIC's optional 2000-watt stainless steel external heater mounts on the back, keeping heat away from the internal components, and removes in seconds. The body opens like a clamshell for service, the motor cavity is designed to keep spilled water out, and a silencer system reduces noise. It rolls on 7-inch non-marking wheels and 2.5-inch casters and runs on a 25 ft detachable cord.
