“The 2700IX-HR is the 220 psi model in EDIC's Galaxy Pro line. It fits facility teams and carpet cleaners who want a big-tank portable for routine and interim extraction in offices, schools, apartments and hotels. It carries 17 gallons of solution and recovers into a 15-gallon tank, so one fill covers a lot of carpet.
Recovery is where it stands out for a 220 psi machine. Like the 500 psi 2700CX-HR, it has dual 3-stage vacuum motors rated at 190 inches of water lift, and it runs on a single 50 ft cord. It is heat-ready, so you can add EDIC's 2000-watt Heat N'Run external heater later without replacing the extractor, and a standard 5-gallon bucket fits under the drain valve for emptying.
The trade-off is pressure. For restorative work on heavily soiled carpet, the 500 psi 2700CX-HR gives you more spray force. At 95 lb it is also a lot of machine for one small office, where the 12-gallon Galaxy 2000IX-HR is the smaller option. This listing is the machine only, so you'll need a wand and hose.”

The Galaxy Pro is heat-ready: EDIC's Heat N'Run 2000-watt external heater mounts on brackets at the back of the machine, keeping heat away from the electrical components in the motor compartment. The upright-mounted vacuum motors use an intercooler, the body opens like a clamshell for service, and the motor cavity is sealed. It has a 1/4-inch aluminum baseplate, 10-inch non-marking rear wheels and 4-inch locking casters.
