“The 2700FX-HR is the dual-cord model in EDIC's Galaxy Pro line of 17-gallon portable extractors. It shares the 500 psi pump and tank sizes of the single-cord 2700CX-HR, but EDIC rates its dual 3-stage vacuum motors at 210 inches of water lift, against 190 on the CX.
That extra lift is the reason to choose it. More vacuum means stronger recovery from the carpet on each pass, which matters on restorative jobs with heavy soil. Splitting the load across two cords also means each cord runs on its own standard 15 amp circuit, which suits apartments, hotels and older buildings where a 20 amp outlet is hard to find. Like every Galaxy Pro, it is heat-ready for EDIC's 2000-watt Heat N'Run external heater.
The trade-off is setup. You need two outlets on two separate circuits and two cords to manage on every job. If one 20 amp circuit is easy to find on your sites, the single-cord 2700CX-HR is simpler. This listing is the machine only, so add a wand and hose.”

The EDIC Galaxy Pro 2700FX-HR is a 17-gallon portable carpet extractor with a 15-gallon recovery tank, a 500 psi pump with a pressure regulator and gauge, and dual 3-stage vacuum motors rated at 210 inches of water lift and 91 CFM. It runs on two 50 ft detachable cords, and EDIC's manual says each cord must be on a separate circuit. This listing is the machine only.
The Galaxy Pro is heat-ready: EDIC's Heat N'Run 2000-watt external heater mounts on brackets at the back of the machine, keeping heat away from the electrical components in the motor compartment. The upright-mounted vacuum motors use an intercooler, the body opens like a clamshell for service, and a standard 5-gallon bucket fits under the drain valve. It has a 1/4-inch aluminum baseplate and 10-inch non-marking rear wheels.
