“The Galaxy Pro 2700CX-HR is the 500 psi, single-cord model in EDIC's 17-gallon Galaxy Pro line. It is aimed at carpet cleaning contractors and in-house crews who handle large areas and heavily soiled carpet with a portable. The pump adjusts from 100 up to 500 psi, and dual 3-stage vacuum motors rated at 190 inches of water lift pull the water back out.
Tank size is the reason to pick it over the 12-gallon Galaxy 2000. With 17 gallons of solution and a 15-gallon recovery tank, you stop less often to refill and dump. It is also heat-ready: run it cold now and later hang EDIC's 2000-watt Heat N'Run heater on the built-in brackets. The heater sits outside the body, away from the motor compartment.
Plan for its size and power. It weighs 104 lb, draws 17.1 amps, and EDIC says it needs a 20 amp circuit. If your job sites only offer 15 amp outlets, look at the dual-cord 2700FX-HR. This listing is the machine only, so add a wand and hose.”

The Galaxy Pro is heat-ready: EDIC's Heat N'Run 2000-watt external heater mounts on brackets at the back of the machine, keeping heat away from the electrical components in the motor compartment. The upright-mounted vacuum motors use an intercooler, the body opens like a clamshell for service, and the motor cavity is sealed. It has a 1/4-inch aluminum baseplate, 10-inch non-marking rear wheels and 4-inch locking casters.
