“The Saturn 20HS2000-BK-SV is the faster of EDIC's two 20-inch corded burnishers, spinning the pad at 2000 RPM for high-gloss maintenance on finished hard floors in schools, offices, stores and healthcare corridors. Everything else matches the 1500 RPM model, so the choice comes down to how much pad speed you want.
A 1.5 HP, 66-frame DC rectified motor drives the pad through a multi-V belt, which EDIC says lowers strain on the bearings, and the flexible pad driver with a threaded centering device conforms to the floor for an even shine. The 75-foot cord covers a wide area from one outlet, and the lockout system only allows a start with both hands on the grips.
The trade-off is the cord. In busy areas you have to manage it, and at 96 pounds it's a heavy machine to load into a van. For large open floors, compare a battery or propane burnisher, and if you'd rather start at a lower speed, the 20HS1500-BK-SV is the same machine at 1500 RPM.”
