“The Saturn 20HS1500-BK-SV is EDIC's 20-inch corded burnisher at 1500 RPM, built for keeping a gloss on finished hard floors in schools, offices, stores and healthcare corridors. It is the slower of the two Saturn high-speed models; the 20HS2000-BK-SV is the same machine at 2000 RPM.
A 1.5 HP, 66-frame DC rectified motor turns the pad through a multi-V belt, which EDIC says lowers strain on the bearings, and the flexible pad driver with a threaded centering device follows the floor for an even shine. The 75-foot cord gives a wide working radius from one outlet, and the lockout system only lets the motor start with both hands on the grips.
The trade-off with any corded burnisher is managing the cord in busy areas, and at 96 pounds it's a heavy machine to load into a van. For large open floors where the cord slows you down, a battery or propane burnisher is worth comparing.”
