“The Saturn HD is EDIC's heavy-duty version of its low-speed floor machine, built for the jobs that wear out a standard buffer. EDIC lists it for floor sanding and screening, stone care and concrete work as well as heavy scrape-offs, stripping and scrubbing.
Two things set it apart from the standard Saturn. The 1.5 HP motor is totally enclosed and fan cooled, so dust and moisture stay out, and the 17-inch model weighs 113 lb for more down pressure on the pad. EDIC's 21 lb horseshoe weights add more, up to two extra. The all-steel triple planetary gearbox, chrome-plated motor cover and quick-disconnect pigtail on the cord round out a machine meant for contractors and maintenance crews who run it hard.
For routine stripping and bonnet cleaning in an office or school, it is more machine than the job needs. The standard 17LS3 Saturn weighs 95 lb, is easier to move between floors, and handles the same stripping, scrubbing and bonnet cleaning.”

The EDIC Saturn HD 17LS4-BK-SV is a 17-inch heavy-duty low-speed floor machine. A 1.5 HP totally enclosed, fan-cooled (TEFC) motor drives the pad at 172 RPM through an all-steel triple planetary severe-duty gearbox. EDIC lists it for sanding, screening, stone care and concrete work as well as stripping, scrubbing, scrape-offs, bonnet cleaning and shampooing.
The machine weighs 113 lb, and up to two of EDIC's 21 lb horseshoe weights can be added for more down pressure. It has a chrome-plated motor cover, a black powder-coated brush cover, dual capacitors, 5-inch non-marking wheels, a non-marking PVC bumper and a quick-disconnect pigtail on its 50 ft cord. Dual metal switch levers allow left- or right-hand operation.
