“The Saturn 17LS3 is EDIC's standard 17-inch low-speed floor machine, aimed at custodial crews who strip, scrub and bonnet clean on a regular schedule. At 175 RPM it is a working-speed machine rather than a polisher, and the 17-inch head fits classrooms, offices, restrooms and corridors.
Weight is a big part of the design. At 95 lb, with a 1.5 HP 66-frame motor driving a severe-duty triple planetary gearbox, it keeps the pad pressed into the floor for stripping and scrape-away jobs. When that isn't enough, EDIC's optional 21 lb horseshoe weight adds more. Metal switch levers work from either hand, the 50 ft cord detaches at the motor for service, and a non-marking PVC bumper protects walls and furniture.
The trade-off is that one speed means one set of jobs. If the same crew also spray-buffs, the dual-speed 17DS3 adds a 320 RPM setting, and for large open floors the 20-inch 20LS3 covers more ground on each pass.”

The EDIC Saturn 17LS3-BK-SV is a 17-inch, 175 RPM low-speed floor machine with a 1.5 HP, 66-frame motor and a severe-duty gearbox with triple planetary steel gears. It weighs 95 lb, draws 14.4 amps and runs on a 50 ft heavy-duty cord with a spring steel strain relief. EDIC lists it for stripping and scrubbing hard floors and bonnet cleaning carpet.
Construction is steel and stainless steel with a black powder-coated brush cover, dual capacitors, 5-inch non-marking wheels and a non-marking PVC bumper. Dual metal switch levers allow left- or right-hand operation, a lockout lever requires both hands on the grips, and the handle adjusts with a foot-operated mechanism. A pad driver is included; a 4-gallon shampoo tank and 21 lb horseshoe weight are optional.
