“The Saturn 17DS3 is a dual-speed floor machine for crews who want one machine for more than one job. The 180 RPM low speed handles scrubbing and stripping, and switching to 320 RPM lets you spray-buff and polish. With the optional 4-gallon shampoo tank it can also shampoo or bonnet clean carpet.
It runs on a 1.5 HP, 66-frame motor through triple planetary steel gears, and construction is steel and stainless steel, down to the switch levers. The 17-inch size suits classrooms, offices, restrooms and corridors where a 20-inch machine is awkward around furniture, and at 86 lb it is manageable to load and move between floors. The dual switch levers work with either hand, and the motor only starts with both hands on the grips.
Keep expectations realistic on the high side: 320 RPM is a spray-buff speed, not a burnisher speed. For a high-gloss finish on a regular schedule, a high-speed burnisher is the right tool. If your crew only strips and scrubs, the single-speed 17LS3 is the simpler choice.”

The EDIC Saturn 17DS3-BK-SV is a 17-inch dual-speed floor machine with a 1.5 HP, 66-frame motor and triple planetary steel gears. A switch selects 180 RPM for scrubbing and stripping or 320 RPM for polishing, and EDIC lists it for stripping, scrubbing, spray-buffing, polishing, shampooing and bonnet cleaning. It weighs 86 lb and draws 14.4 amps.
Construction is steel and stainless steel with a black powder-coated brush cover, 5-inch non-marking wheels and a non-marking PVC bumper. Dual metal switch levers work with either hand, a lockout lever requires both hands on the grips to start the motor, and the handle adjusts with a foot-operated mechanism. The 50 ft heavy-duty cord detaches at the motor, and a pad driver is included.
