“The Polaris 1201PS is the largest model in EDIC's Polaris line of self-contained carpet extractors. It fits facility teams that look after mid-size to large carpeted areas, such as offices, classrooms, hallways and meeting rooms, and want one operator to spray, scrub and recover in a single pass.
What stands out is the combination of a 12-gallon solution tank, a 120 psi pump and dual 2-stage vacuum motors on a 19-inch head. The self-adjusting, self-leveling brush follows uneven floors, and the four-wheel layout keeps the machine balanced when the tank is full. The cord detaches and the recovery buckets lift off, so emptying at a drain or toilet is quick, and accessories connect at the rear for stairs and upholstery.
The trade-off is weight. At 120 lb it is not a machine you carry up a flight of stairs. For tighter spaces, the 701PS has a 17-inch head and weighs 78 lb, and if you want to clean in both directions, look at the Supernova 1200PSN.”

The EDIC Polaris 1201PS is a walk-behind self-contained carpet extractor with a 12-gallon solution tank, a 120 psi pump and dual 2-stage bypass vacuum motors rated at 200 CFM. Its 19-inch chevron brush is driven by a 1/6 HP, 4,200 RPM motor and turns at 2,100 RPM on sealed stainless steel ball bearings.
The self-adjusting, self-leveling brush handles different carpet lengths and uneven floors, and a side extension reaches baseboards. It has a see-through recovery dome and lift-off recovery buckets that empty without a drain hose, and the 50 ft cord detaches so the machine can be rolled to a drain. The vacuum is upright-mounted with an intercooler, and the equipment bay opens with two screws.
