“This is the Focus II Mid-Size to look at when your floors are not smooth. Grouted tile, quarry tile in a kitchen, textured or worn concrete: two counter-rotating cylindrical brushes spinning at 613 RPM get into low spots and grout lines that a flat disc rides over. It also wet sweeps, so small debris goes into a removable tray instead of clogging the squeegee, and you can often skip the pre-sweep.

Pick the battery first. The 242 Ah wet package is fine if someone on your team waters batteries; the sealed 312 Ah AGM package suits sites where nobody does. Add the chemical mixing package if you want detergent dosed from the control panel. One trade-off to know: at 71 dB A it is the loudest model in the family, so night or off-hours work may suit it best.”

A 28-inch cylindrical walk-behind scrubber for grout, tile and textured floors

The Clarke Focus II Mid-Size Cylindrical 28 is a battery-powered, traction-drive walk-behind automatic scrubber with two counter-rotating cylindrical brushes. Clarke built it for grouted tile and imperfect or rough textured floors, and it wet sweeps as it scrubs, collecting larger debris in a removable tray. Brushes change without tools. It suits restaurant kitchens, food processing, restrooms, locker rooms and other tiled or textured hard floors.

Every package shares the same 28-inch cylindrical deck, 23-gallon tanks, traction drive and onboard charger. They differ only in battery type and the Chemical Mixing System.

Reading the model numbers: Clarke numbers this family by package. 05421A has 242 Ah wet batteries, 05424A has 312 Ah maintenance-free (AGM) batteries, and 05425A and 05428A add the onboard Chemical Mixing System. The optional Chemical Mixing System meters detergent into the solution flow, with the ounces-per-gallon setting on a knob at the control panel.
