“The B 50 W Bp R55 is a full-size walk-behind scrubber for warehouses, factories, schools, retail floors and other large hard-surface areas where a compact machine runs out of tank. It cleans a 22 in path with a cylindrical roller brush, carries 13.2 gal of solution and recovery, and wheel drive moves it at up to 3.7 mph, so the operator steers instead of pushing a 427 lb machine.
What stands out is the R55 head on textured and dirty floors. The roller brush pre-sweeps coarse debris into a small container as it scrubs, and the brush head and 33 in parabolic squeegee are die-cast aluminum, built to hold blade pressure through tight turns and on uneven surfaces. A yellow key limits operators to everyday settings, while a grey key gives supervisors the rest.
Two things to weigh. This is the AGM battery version, which Kärcher does not offer in California; a lithium-ion R55 is a separate model. And on smooth floors where water use matters most, the O51 orbital head is the alternative to look at.”

The Kärcher B 50 W Bp R55 (9.176-020.0) is a battery walk-behind scrubber with the R55 cylindrical brush head, which cleans a 22 in path and pre-sweeps coarse debris into a small container. It has 13.2 gal solution and recovery tanks, a 33 in parabolic squeegee and 34 lb of brush contact pressure. Wheel drive moves the machine at up to 3.7 mph.
This version runs on a 24 V AGM battery with an on-board charger rated for 100 to 240 V. The brush head and squeegee are die-cast aluminum, and the squeegee attaches with two quick-release clamps while the recovery hose stays on its bracket. The machine weighs 427 lb with batteries and runs at 65 dB(A), or 62 dB(A) in Eco mode. Auto-Fill and Machine Connect app support are available as options.
