“The Powr-Zone is an ozone generator for odor jobs that cleaning alone does not fix: smoke, pets, mold and mildew in hotel rooms, apartments, meeting rooms and vehicles. Instead of masking the smell, ozone reacts with the molecules that cause it and breaks back down into oxygen. This unit is rated at 1.5 grams of ozone per hour and is effective for spaces up to 60,000 cubic feet.
Operation is simple. Set the 12-hour turn-knob timer and leave; a 100 CFM ball-bearing fan moves the ozone, and the gas-filled arc module means there are no plates or UV tubes to clean. The poly housing weighs about 7 pounds and the units stack for storage in a van or closet.
The trade-off is that ozone and people do not mix. The space must be empty of people, pets and plants while it runs, and it needs time to clear before anyone returns, so it suits turnover work between guests or after a restoration job. For odor control in rooms that stay occupied, look at removing the source and better ventilation instead.”
